Welcome Visitors

On Sunday 16 July 2000, Charlie Campbell from Glasgow realised his dream by running into the record books with the quickest time yet for a continuous self propelled round of the Munros.

Using some of the original material from the time, this is purely a historical site to give a flavour of what the challenge was all about. I hope you enjoy reading it and viewing the photos.

Charlie can be contacted via Westerlands Cross Country Club,

On Thursday the 3rd June 2010 at precisely 6 minutes past three in the afternoon, Stephen Pyke from Stone, Staffordshire, smashed Charlie’s time with a new record of 39 days 9 hours and six minutes. Charlie would like to offer his sincerest congratulations to Stephen on setting such a fantastic new time, and becoming the first person ever to dip below the magical 40 day barrier – brilliant!
